This morning started off so peacefully… at least for a few minutes! Baby Cici was still sleepy, curled up like the tiniest little ball, hugging her soft blanket as if it was the most precious thing in the world. Her eyes were barely open, and she kept stretching her tiny hands, making those adorable morning faces we can never get enough of. Everything was calm, quiet, and perfect… until mischievous Cici decided she had other plans!
Just when I thought she would fall back asleep, Cici suddenly lifted her head, blinked twice, and looked straight at me with that “I’m up and ready for trouble” expression. Before I could say anything, she scooted over and poked Yumi, who was still deeply asleep beside her. Poor Yumi didn’t even expect it! Cici tapped her cheek, pulled her blanket, and even tried to lift her eyelid as if to say, “Wake up! Play with me now!”
Yumi, half-asleep and confused, made the funniest little grumpy face. She turned away, buried her head into my chest, and mumbled her silent complaint like, “Please… just five more minutes!” But Cici was not giving up. She climbed over her, shaking her tiny shoulders and making those playful morning chirps. She clearly wanted attention, love, and of course… some early-morning mischief.
I tried to separate them gently, but Cici clung onto Yumi like a determined little koala. It was impossible not to laugh at the scene—one baby begging for sleep, the other demanding playtime! And the more Yumi ignored her, the more dramatic Cici became. She even pouted, stomped her little feet, and let out the cutest tiny squeak, as if shouting, “DON’T IGNORE ME!”
Finally, Yumi gave in. She sat up with messy hair, sleepy eyes, and the most defeated expression. Cici immediately celebrated by hugging her, jumping around, and acting like she just won the biggest morning battle ever.
