This morning started with the sweetest moment… and then quickly turned into one of the funniest jealous scenes ever! I was holding little Yumi in my arms, gently rocking her and giving her some warm cuddles. Yumi was so relaxed, her tiny hands holding onto my fingers while she enjoyed every bit of attention. But out of nowhere, here came Mimi — and oh boy, she was NOT happy at all!
Mimi walked toward us slowly at first, staring at Yumi with big, emotional eyes. You could almost hear her tiny monkey heart saying, “Why her? Why not me?” She tried to act calm, but her pouting face gave her away. The moment she saw Yumi snuggle deeper into my chest, Mimi couldn’t hold it in anymore. She stomped her little feet, climbed up beside me, and tried to push her head between us as if to say, “Move! That’s my spot!”
I tried to reassure her by giving her soft pats, but Mimi refused to settle down. She kept pulling on my shirt, tapping my arm, and even giving Yumi the funniest little side-eye. Yumi, of course, had no idea what was going on. She just blinked at Mimi like, “Why are you mad, sister?” But Mimi was determined. She wanted all the attention, all the cuddles, and all the love for herself.
Finally, I picked Mimi up with my other hand, and instantly her mood changed. She clung tightly to me, wrapping her little arms around my shoulder as if she was claiming her place. Yumi looked confused but calm, while Mimi looked proud, like she had finally won the battle for love.
Moments like this show just how emotional and attached these babies really are. They crave affection, they get jealous, and they want to feel special — just like human children. And even though Mimi’s jealousy was dramatic, it was also adorable to see how much she cares.
In the end, both babies got their cuddles, and peace was restored… at least until the next jealous moment! 😅🐒💗
