The moment Mom picked her up, Cici already sensed what was coming. Mom smiled softly and carried Cici to the bathing spot, speaking to her in a calm, soothing voice. But Cici kept shaking her head like a stubborn little human, mumbling her tiny monkey sounds as if she was protesting, “Not again, Mom!” Even though she didn’t like baths, she still trusted her mom completely. Slowly, she relaxed when the warm water touched her fur.
As Mom gently poured water over her back, Cici froze for a second, making the funniest little face that looked exactly like a toddler trying to be brave. Mom continued washing her tiny arms, her fluffy belly, and her cute round cheeks. Each time Mom scrubbed a little too close to her ears, Cici gave a tiny squeak, lifting her shoulders like she wanted to hide inside her own fur. It was both funny and heart-melting at the same time.
By the time the bath was over, Cici’s fur was soft, clean, and shining. Mom wrapped her in a warm towel, gently patting her dry. Cici clung to Mom again, this time not out of fear, but comfort—she felt safe, warm, and loved.
