The morning was peaceful, the sun warm and gentle, and little Cici sat on her soft blanket with her tiny hands folded like she was waiting for something important. Her tail flicked lightly behind her, and her eyes looked brighter than usual—almost like she understood that today would be special.
Dad walked over, kneeling in front of her with a smile. “Cici… can you hear me?” he asked softly.
To everyone’s surprise, the little monkey lifted her head immediately, her ears twitching. She stared straight into his eyes as if she had been waiting for that exact voice. Dad spoke again, “Cici, tell Daddy what you want.”
And then… she answered.
Not with words, of course, but with a series of clear, expressive gestures and tiny sounds that matched every question he asked. When he said, “Are you hungry?” she tapped her belly and let out a soft squeak. When he said, “Do you want milk or banana?” she pointed right at the bottle with her tiny finger—like a baby who knew exactly what she was doing.
Dad laughed in disbelief. “Cici, you’re so smart!” he told her, and Cici answered again with a joyful chirp and a shy smile.
Then came the funniest part—Dad asked, “Do you want a bath later?” Immediately, Cici shook her head so hard her little hair puffed up. She pulled the blanket over her face and peeked out slowly, as if to say, “No bath, please!” Everyone burst into laughter.
But the sweetest moment came last. Dad whispered, “Cici… do you love Daddy?”
Cici froze for a moment, then crawled forward with soft little steps and pressed her head gently against his chest. Her tiny hands held onto his shirt as she closed her eyes, answering with the purest affection she could give.
Dad hugged her tightly, whispering, “I love you too.”
That’s when everyone realized…
This wasn’t just a baby monkey.
This was a little soul who understood love, trust, and every gentle word spoken to her.
